Phoebe Bridgers’ smashed SNL guitar is up for auction, with the proceeds helping to support the 32nd Annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards.
For her first appearance on Saturday Night Live on February 6, Phoebe Bridgers asked Danelcro if it was OK to smash the Dano guitar she planned to use on the show. They said sure, SNL build a fake monitor that would spark when struck, and the rest is history. Of course, some people were outraged over something about 5 million men have done because, you know, Bridgers isn’t a man. Sigh.
As you can see, there are plenty of people who appreciated the gesture, and Bridgers has donated the guitar to a worthy cause, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).
