I more than telegraphed my favorite rooms at Axpona 2022 by saying so in the accompanying post titles, but here’s a handy list, with links, of all my favorites. Enjoy!
Axpona 2022 was a huge success. I had an embarrassing amount of pure unbridled fun and I was not alone.
The Mytek Empire has arrived.
I’ve been following Jacob George’s Rethm speakers for many years with great interest. His new Aarka Active Speakers strike me as a very big step in a great new direction.
UK’s Audio Note has the show thing down.
Constellation Audio and Magico are one of hifi’s famous couples.
Moon by Simaudio and Wilson filled another of the larger rooms at Axpona 2022 with sweet sweet music.
Innuos hosted the YG Acoustics Active Vantage Live System that incorporates high tech from Cambridge Acoustic Sciences and Bel Canto Design in the Vantage Live’s advanced DSP crossover and bespoke amplification/controller respectively.
No HiFi show would be complete without a visit with MBL. MBL systems do not look like any other hifi nor do they sound like any other hifi.
Big room, big speakers + lots of power = hifi fun.
ELAC switched things up at Axpona 2022 by showcasing their pricier Concentro S 507 Tower Speakers ($7499.98/each).
I am a fan of Germany’s Manger Audio and said so in my review of their S1 Active Speakers.
Speaking of simple…
Canada’s Muraudio marches to the beat of a different drummer.
