Those D8is subs, positioned front and back of the rows of chairs for listening, filled in the bottom of the bottom end of the Perlisten S7t Black Edition Loudspeakers helping fill the huge Utopia D ballroom hosted by Fidelity Imports for Axpona 2026 with mad music energy. Mad I tell you! One of my favorite things about subwoofers, especially four 44″ tall ones, is not really noticing they’re there which was the case here as music filled this huge space with real energy that seemed to reach deep inside the music and me. Nice.
I will share that the review pair of S7t Black Edition Loudspeakers (more info) are filling the Barn’s A-Side just fine all on their own as I type.
The S7t were treated to their own powerplants courtesy of the Audia Flight Strumento no.8 Signature Mono Power Amplifiers each offering 650/1300/2300 Watts into 8/4/2 Ohms. I’ve reviewed two integrated amps (FL Three S, FLS 10) as well as a Stumento pre/power stack from Audia Flight and was impressed by every damn one of ’em in part due to their stunning control and finesse.
