Woof! I’ve been a fan of Japan’s Luxman, pronounced Lustman here in the Barn, for ages. Their new flagship M-10X Stereo/Mono Power Amplifier celebrates the company’s 100th anniversary (Luxman was founded in 1925).
Why reinvent the wheel? Or more to the point, why would hardware manufacturers like Cyrus Audio spend time and money developing a streaming platform when they can plug and play a proven solution?
Back in the day (c. late 1990s), I owned a Rega Planet CD player and enjoyed its smooth somewhat dark sound, which beat the pants off the crispy edginess found in the output of many a CD player of the time.
