It was bound to happen. Like the changing tide or sunshine.
I’ve been living with speakers from Brooklyn’s DeVore Fidelity since 2005. My first pair were the gibbon Super 8, a two-way floorstander, followed by the gibbon The Nines, gibbon X, and most recently the O/93. A regular primate parade.
If you follow this progression, you can probably figure out what’s next.
The DeVore Fidelity O/96 arrived in Barn last Friday and they are here to stay.
Part of the DeVore Orangutan line, which includes the O/93 and the stunning top of the line O/Reference [footnote 1], the O/96 are a perfect Barn fit in every way, shape, and sound. They bear more than a familial resemblance to their littler brother, the O/93, only the O/96 sound like more — more of everything that makes music so magical.
I look forward to my time with the DeVore Fidelity O/96, discovering new music through them, and getting to know the music I know even better.
