Meet Naim’s First Turntable: The Solstice Special Edition

Naim Audio was officially incorporated in 1973 and their Aro tonearm is the stuff of audiophile legend. But that’s about as far as the Salisbury, England based company ever went in terms of playing records. Until now.

The Naim Audio Solstice Special Edition is more than a turntable, its a complete vinyl replay package from the cartridge to the phono premplifier and everything in between.

The Special Edition includes the Solstice NVS TT turntable, a next-generation version of the Naim Aro tonearm, an Equinox MC cartridge, Solstice Series Phono Stage NVC TT, Power Supply NPX TT, an accessories set, a commemorative book, and a Naim Records True Stereo album. Like I said, the complete package. While the Phono Stage and Power Supply are built in house, Naim relied on Germany’s Clearaudio for the specialized manufacturing chops needed to built the ‘table, arm, and cartridge.

The Solstice will be limited to just 500 units worldwide, and my best bet is Naim fans will gobble them all up in no time flat at $20k per package.
