Axpona 2024 Favorite Rooms: Well Pleased AV | QLN | Vinnie Rossi…

I first met and reviewed a product from Vinnie Rossi in 2005 and while I like to think we’ve  both come a long way, Vinnie has more demonstrable proof in his line of BRAMA gear.

I have white hair, an expanding waistline, and a Barn.

The Vinnie Rossi BRAMA Integrated Amplifier in its new Gen 2 guise puts out 200 Watts of power into 8 Ohm and doubles down into 4 while offering unconditional stability into 2 ohms.

Hidden inside that finely sculpted chassis reside a pair of Western Electric 300Bs in the preamp stage.

The perfectly delicious pairing in this room shared by distributor Well Pleased AV saw the new flagship QLN Reference 9 loudspeakers receiving that Rossi power while the recently reviewed Merason DAC1 Mk II handled D to A conversion, fed by an Innuos Statement server/streamer.

Think liquid. This system was long on refinement, offering some of the sweetest sounds of music I experienced at Axpona 2024. Lovely, just lovely.
