Angel Olsen’s last two records, All Mirrors (2019) and Whole New Mess (2020), were bookends of sorts, sharing more than a passing resemblance. Song of the Lark and Other Far Memories wraps these records into a larger, 4 LP box set.
Song of the Lark and Other Far Memories includes alternate takes, b-sides, remixes and reimaginings of the All Mirrors and New Mess material and adds a 40-page booklet containing unseen photos, diary entries, personal notes and memories from the time of both writing and recording both albums.
The Song of the Lark 4 LP box set is limited to 3000 copies and is available for pre-order from Secretly Canadian and Bandcamp. Shipping will commence on or around May 7, 2021.
