Founded in Vienna, Austria circa 1989, Vienna Acoustics’s new Limited Edition Bach Ultimate loudspeakers directly descend from the original Bach Classic that first appeared on the market in 1995.
Meant as a celebration of composer Johann Sebastian Bach’s 300th anniversary and the Bach Classics 30th, the Bach Ultimate Edition are a two-way, rear-vented bass reflex design using Vienna Acoustics’ proprietary 7” XPP cone mid/bass driver paired with their exclusive hand coated silk dome tweeter.

The material formulation “X3P” is a mixture of Vienna Acoustics’ proprietary TPX, the unique thermoplastic used in all XPP cones, and three polypropylene based synthetics (hence X3P), resulting very high inner damping, while providing hugely increased stability and rigidity, which made the large cone dimension achievable.
The Limited Edition Bach Ultimates are a relatively small, slim tower measuring 36.5″ high (with the included spikes) and a mere 9″ wide with each weighing a back-friendly 80lbs. The company rates the Bach Ultimates sensitivity at an amp friendly 90dB with a 4 Ohm impedance and recommend 30 – 200 Watts of power to drive ’em.
