HiFi News

Klipsh is living hifi history and even a new finish option, in this case Red Oak, is news.

I’ve had a pair of AudioQuest’s new Brave Heart ZERO-Tech Speaker Cables in Barn for a few weeks and I can say one thing:

The new Network Acoustics origin Streaming Power Supply is an ultra-low noise multi-stage filtered hybrid power supply designed for use with routers, switches, DDCs, optical convertors, streamers and DACs.

I’ve not been shy about my enjoyment of every MBL system I’ve had the distinct pleasure of experiencing at many hifi shows over many years.

Why? Eurovision.

Kinda cool, right? Cool in the sense that these limited-edition Jurassic World Rebirth speakers from Klipsch will make some music loving dinosaur digger very happy.

You can think of the new dCS Lina DAC X as a full width Lina Network DAC with its own volume control. Just add amplifier & speakers.

It’s getting awfully crowded under that HARMAN umbrella.

You can buy Schiit’s new Mimir as just a DAC for $299 or add a 3-band parametric EQ and digital preamp for an extra $50.

8 1/2″ wide, 25 Watts/channel into 8 Ohms of Class AB power plus DAC = $1499.

To say I’ve been impressed with Wattson Audio’s streaming DACs is not enough said—I recommend reading the Madison and Emerson Analog reviews to get the full picture.

I think it’s more than fair to suggest that the Klipschorn and La Scala inspired many a speaker design but who better than to improve on these classics than the original company that made ’em.

Three bucks a Watt.

In the world of you YouTube videos devoted to hifi, I rank Jana’s in the top 5 when it comes to quality.
