I’ve yet to meet an EL84-based amp I didn’t like.

The brand new Aurorasound HFSA-01 Vacuum Tube Integrated Amplifier uses two pair of EL84s in push-pull configuration for 14 Watts of output power.

In an interesting turn on tradition, a Texas Instruments OPA 604 A op-amp is used in the driver stage to bring the SOVTEK EL84s to life, while a Rohm silicon carbide diode is employed for rectification.

The HFSA-01 includes a MM Phono input (yay!) and 3 line level RCA inputs along with 4- and 8 Ohm speaker outputs to better mate with your speakers.

Up front reside the power button, defeatable Bass and Treble tone controls, stereo/mono toggle switch, and a headphone jack along with volume and input selector knobs. From the press release: The front panel is ornamented with Mahogany wood on both sides to enhance the retro appearance producing a rather relaxing atmosphere for more enjoyable audio life. Who doesn’t want a more enjoyable audio life?

The Aurorasound HFSA-01 Vacuum Tube Integrated Amplifier comes with a US retail price of $3,680 and will be available beginning April 30.
