Even though Smerz Have Fun has only been around since March of this year, I’ve listened to it 44,002 times (give or take).
Catharina Stoltenberg and Henriette Motzfeldt are the Norwegian duo Smerz and this is the first record I’ve heard from them. All I can say is more please.
As you can hear, Smerz is octopus-like, wrapping their interests around all manner of genres while remaining solidly Smerz. This EP smokes, smoulders, and goes bump in the night, all things that make me happy.
