Its not every day that you read a positive article about hifi in a non-hifi publication. Heck, its more like hardly ever.
The article in AD PRO from March 15 titled, “Why ‘Listening Rooms’ Are the Next Big Thing in Interiors” carries the lead — Dedicated spaces for listening to vinyl are popping up everywhere—but getting them right is an art and a science. Kudos to author Christina Poletto for sussing out a nice informative quick view into hifi as part of a home with the help of my pal Adam Wexler, founder and owner at Resolution Audio Video.

Wexler shares, “A great listening room can do things we only dream of. It’s a time machine, it’s a transporter.” Amen to that! Adam helped Atlantic Records COO Julie Greenwald put together a nice system, pictured above, that includes a pair of DeVore Fidelity O/96 speakers in a lovely setting.
And that’s just the thing—in a lovely setting. Here we have people incorporating hifi into their homes to make listening to music an important part of their lives, more important than background or afterthought. Its worth noting that there’s a big wide world of people out there who have invested real time and money into their hifi, listening rooms, and music collections who are not part of the audiophile world, which for many simply means they have never argued about hifi.
I could go on but I’d rather send you to the AD PRO site to read the entire article. Enjoy!
