Sometimes, good things come in small packages.
I’ve been living with GoldenEar BRX for nearly 2 years, using them as my go-to reference for small affordable stand mount speaker. They have played very nicely with a range of amplifiers from the over-achieving HiFi Bargain LSA VT-70 Integrated Tube Amp (review), the slick all-in-one NAD M10 V2 Streaming Amplifier (review), Schiit Audio Ragnarok 2 (review), and Clones Audio 25iRX Integrated Amplifier (review) to name just a few.
The sleek looking BRX house a High-Velocity Folded Ribbon tweeter, 6″ cast-basket mid/bass driver, and a pair of side mounted passive radiators. The company rates the BRX’s frequency response reaching down to 40Hz and up to 35kHz which is a fair amount of ground to cover in such a small package. And they know how to dance.
A pair of GoldenEar BRX will set you back a hair under $1600/pair which strikes me as a genuine HiFi Bargain.
