When a hifi offers Tidal Connect, you can send your Tidal music stream directly from the ether to your hifi without the need for additional hardware or apps in between. That’s what I call Easy-Fi.
To clarify, just tell the Tidal app on your iOS/Android device or computer to send music to your Tidal Connect-endowed hifi and stream away in CD and hi-res quality. In the case of the Cambridge CXR120 or CXR200 Home Theater Receivers, that’s all-in-one. Just add speakers. Easy-Fi.
Cambridge Audio has just added, via free firmware update, Tidal Connect to a number of its StreamMagic streaming products including the Edge NQ Preamplifier/Network Player, CXN Network Audio Streamer (V1/V2), and 851N Network Player. Come April 7, 2021, the CXR120 and CXR200 7.2-channel home theater receivers join the fun.
