Forté Distribution, the exclusive US distributor for Eversolo, will be bringing that company’s new flagship DMP-A10 Streaming DAC/DDC/Preamp to CAF for its US debut.
China’s Eversolo made quite the splash with their sub-$800 DMP-A6 Streaming DAC following that with more upscale DMP-A8 ($1920). Both products feature (relatively) large touchscreens with lots of tech packed inside—the associated user manuals are about 60 pages a piece.
Now comes the flex, the flagship, the “Masterpiece” as Eversolo’s website proclaims. In brief, the new DMP-A10 is a streaming DAC (with Ethernet, WiFi, and SFP Fiber connectivity), just a DAC (digital inputs include USB, 2x Coax, 2x Optical, and HDMI Arc), a Digital-to-Digital Converter, a fully balanced Preamp with 2x RCA, 1x XLR input, and a pair of Sub outs with both digital (USB, Coax, Optical) and analog (2x RCA and 1x XLR) outputs. You can also hang USB storage off the back and there are 2x SSD slots for adding internal storage (up to 4TB) so you can also add server to its list of accomplishments.
Beyond the striking industrial design and 6.5″ LCD touchscreen display, the DMP-A10 offers a lot of tech behind the scenes including Eversolo’s own 10-band Parametric EQ, Room Correction, and Original Sampling-rate Audio Engine (EOS) that “…bypasses the SRC limitations, sending audio to your speakers without any changes.” according to the company. The DMP-A10 supports Roon (certification in process), Tidal Connect, Squeeze Connect, and DLNA protocols and via the Eversolo app TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music and more.
