CAF 2022: The Wrap!

I remember the days of frantic show coverage, running from room to room with camera and notepad at the ready, fumbling, fussing, feverishly scribbling then snap, snap, snap “Thanks!” and on through the next door.

And I remember hating it, mainly because we can never cover enough and/or enough well enough and post fast enough to make everyone happy. I did not get to every room, even rooms I wanted to get to, so my apologies for not being more than one person. For more coverage, I recommend heading over to Stereophile where my buddy Ken Micallef covered more ground.

Capital Audiofest is one of my favorite shows because the overall mood is positive. People coming to the Capital Audiofest seem to be genuinely excited to have the opportunity to hear so much gear in one place and this enthusiasm is infectious. I did not see many of the furrowed brow types, shuffling from room-to-room as if they are on a conveyor belt to hell.

Once again show organizer Gary Gill pulled off a winner with CAF 22 (bravo!) and I want to thank everyone who went out of their way to say “Hi!” and recognize that I’m not nearly as short as Darko makes me out to be in our Podcasts (and I don’t live in my mother’s basement).

Listening to music on the hifi is one of life’s greatest luxuries and we are all fortunate to share in its enjoyment. Cheers.
