Berlin-based Voxativ was showing their new 9.88 System that adds a midrange driver and crossover to their 9.87 system. Yes, I said crossover.
The new 9.88 system ($75,000/pair) is comprised of the PI Bass-Module, the new.01 Mid-Module, and PI Monitor-Module. The Voxativ T-805 Integrated Amplfier ($34,900) that uses a pair of Psvane 805 tubes for power output powered the 9.88s.
A Weiss DAC502 ($10,695) acted as sole source in a system that was delicate, detailed, and sparklingly alive. In other words, it sounded like a Voxativ system.
