CAF 2021: MC Audiotech

The MC Audiotech Forty-10 Loudspeaker (starts at $40,000) announce their difference boldly.

From the manufacturer:

The Forty-10 is a two-way design consisting of our in-house designed and built proprietary transducers mounted in a double-curved spaced array™ and the totally separate folded cube™ low frequency enclosure.

The easy to drive Forty-10, rated at 96dB for the Array and 93dB for the Woofer (at 2.83 volts (1 watt) at 1 meter) were driven by the Linear Tube Audio Reference 40 Amplifier ($5700), MicroZOTL Preamplifier ($6800), with the wonderful Weiss DAC501 ($8400 see review) and Wolf Audio Systems Alpha 3 Music Server ($9895) taking care of digital, while a VPI Reference Turntable and Luminous Audio Arion MKII Phono Stage ($7999) handled vinyl, and Audience cabling tieing everything together.

As you might expect, the MC Audiotech Forty-10 Loudspeakers send music into the room in a panel-like manner, think Quad 57s in terms of dispersion, making for a captivating presentation.
