NJ-based dealer, and nearly-a-neighbor, GTT Audio premiered the new YG Acoustics Summit Loudspeakers along with a host of gear that made for some captivating sounds.
The YG Summit Loudspeakers ($25,000/pair) are from the company’s new Peak Series, YG’s lower-priced line. Helping to drive the Summit at Axpona were the Audionet Humbolt Integrated Amplifier ($58,750), Audionet PAM G2 Phono Amplifier ($10,100), and Audionet Ampere Power Supply ($11,200). The Kronos Pro Turntable ($45,000) was fitted with the Kronos Discovery RS Tonearm ($24,000), mounted with the My Sonic Lab Platinum Signature MC Cartridge ($11,000), while a Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC ($13,500 review) took care of the bits stored on a Roon Nucleus Plus ($2,558) or streamed through an Auralic Aries G2.1 Streamer ($5,700). All cabling was from Kubala-Sosna.
How’d it all sound? If asking for a review sample is the sincerest form of flattery, I sincerely enjoyed this system and the YG Summit.
