You may be wondering what Auralic could possibly add to their already feature-rich ALTAIR G1 and ARIES G1 Music Streamers. The kitchen sink?
Well, the Auralic G1s in their G1.1 guise have two bits of the new: they support AirPlay 2 and add the company’s high-mass base from their G2.1 series products.
I reviewed the Auralic ALTAIR G1 last year and found it “delivers a finely refined sound that serves the music at play.”
“With these updates, our G1.1 Series products will continue to lead their categories in technology and functionality, providing the best streaming experience in their market sector.” — Xuanqian Wang, CEO
Thanks to Auralic’s Lightning DS iOS app, owners get access to a world of streaming options including Amazon Music, Qobuz, HighResAudio, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth while Roon users can run the G1.1s as a Roon Ready endpoint.
The Auralic ALTAIR G1.1 and ARIES G1.1 will be available mid-August for $3,249 each.
