Say Hello to the New Goldmund Telos 670 Integrated Amplifier

I have a thing for Goldmund’s clean minimalist lines that imbue their products with an architectural air. In other words, I like the way they look.

The new Goldmund Telos 670 is an integrated amplifier offering 215 Watts of Class A/B power per channel into 8 ohms from its proprietary Telos amplification technology.

Here’s Goldmund on Telos:

Speaker control is exerted in two ways: by giving them enough power to produce high-quality and undistorted sound; and by controlling the drivers better preventing them from producing parasite sound. This is especially true in low frequencies where drivers’ range of to and fro movement is higher, increasing the likelihood of unwanted sounds that affect the purity of the signal.

Telos® amplification technology significantly reduces the harmonic and intermodulation distortions by improving the linearity of all stages. Telos® uses a higher bandwidth circuit with minimal group delay distortion inside the audio bandwidth.

So clean.

The new Goldmund Telos 670 Integrated Amplifier is shipping now and comes in at $26,000 which is, as the press release notes, $13,000 less than “its big brother” the Telos 690 integrated amp.

Here’s the press release from Rhythm Distribution:

Introducing the Goldmund Telos 670 Integrated—Legendary Performance Is More Accessible than You Think

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of the Goldmund Telos 670 integrated amplifier, a stunning new addition to the Goldmund Telos line. Created for discerning listeners who desire fewer audio components without compromising on fidelity, the Telos 670 combines a preamplifier, amplifier, and high-quality DAC in a single chassis.

Sculpted with elegance and engineered with authority, the Telos 670’s 215 watts per channel at 8 ohms will drive passive loudspeakers effortlessly while preserving every nuance of the music. At its core lies Goldmund’s proprietary Telos® amplification technology—a Class A/B circuit architecture refined over more than 40 years of research and innovation. The result is ultimate linearity, wide bandwidth, and vanishingly low distortion.

Guided by Goldmund’s uncompromising sonic philosophy, the Telos 670 achieves:

  • Near-zero harmonic distortion
  • Near-zero intermodulation and TIM distortion
  • Near-zero vibration and mechanical resonance
  • Exceptionally high dynamic range
  • Absolute thermal stability
  • A virtually silent background
  • The Telos 670 is not just a new amplifier; it is a culmination of decades of engineering excellence, packaged to expand Golmund’s market reach.

How does it do that?

Priced at 13,000 USD below its big brother, the Telos 690, the new Telos 670 retails for 26,000 USD, making Goldmund’s legendary Telos performance more accessible than ever.
