That line was from a 1980s TV commercial for Jordache Jeans but it fits equally well here as I like the look of the new Klipsch/OJAS kO-R2 speakers. A lot. The mix of simple elements seen here up top in the spiral red oak veneer with a matte black horn is enticing with its promise of high efficiency and the associated easy-to-drive jump factor (or so I imagine).
The Klipsch/OJAS kO-R2 are a 2-way design comprised of an Ojas 1506 cast aluminum multisectoral horn with K-706 HF compression driver and a Klipsch K-33-E 15” fiber-composite cone woofer as found in the Cornwall IV. The Ojas-designed 13-ply Grade A Baltic birch ply cabinet (46” H × 25” W × 22” D) also comes in a powder-coated Hammertone Silver finish and the The kO-R2 are built in Klispch’s historic Hope, Arkansas factory.
There’s a five-step high-frequency HF gain attenuator to tweak sound to room and taste.
The Klipsch/OJAS kO-R2 are limited to 600 pair worldwide and are available for pre-order for $11,995/pair exclusively from the OJAS website.
