News: McIntosh RS200 Wireless Loudspeaker System

McIntosh is on a roll lately when it comes to People-Fi. Just a few weeks ago, we saw the launch of the McIntosh MTI100 Integrated Turntable and today we’re treated with the all-in-one RS200 Wireless Loudspeaker System.

Gotta have the blue meters! If you check the specs, and the opening image, you can see that the RS200 is right at home as the sole living room sound source taking audio-out via HDMI or Toslink from your TV, audio in via S/PDIF, USB, AirPlay 2, or Bluetooth (aptX), and you can even use Amazon’s Alexa to control playback (requires use of a third party Alexa Built-in Product). There’s also Play-Fi from DTS, which has built-in interfaces for Amazon Prime Music, Pandora®, Qobuz, SiriusXM®, Spotify®, TIDAL and more. The eight drivers are fed a total of 650 Watts delivering a claimed 40Hz – 20kHz frequency response. What more can you ask for? Did someone say stereo separation? Well, yea, there’s that.

The McIntosh RS200 Wireless Loudspeaker System will retail for $3000 in the US.
