Easy to drive and easy on the eyes, I’ve been eyeing the speakers from Sonner Audio at HiFi shows for years. Their Legato Duo has finally arrived in Barn.
The review pair is finished in the Semigloss Red Rosewood finish. Satin Black is also available.
Featuring a decidedly rear-leaning rake, the 2.5-way Legato Duo house a ring Radiator tweeter, a 5.5” paper mid-woofer, and a 6” aluminum mid-woofer all surrounded by leather magnet-mounted front baffles that assist in sound dispersion.
Curvaceous and tapered, the Legato Duo sit on large spiked basses and weigh a back-friendly 80 lbs.
Their slim backside sports a pair of bass ports and a single pair of speaker binding posts while the Legato Duo’s claimed 90dB sensitivity makes them very amplifier friendly. I have few amps in mind, all kinds, for the Legato Duo to dance with. Stay tuned.
