If you’ve never experienced a Zu room at a hifi show, you don’t know what you’re missing.
While I got tired of hearing myself harp about the banal music on display at hifi shows, music that is more like window dressing to showcase the gear, Sean Casey and the eam from Zu Audio put on a real show with a DJ, turntable(s), and lots of great records.
For Capital Audiofest 2024, Zu is bringing along a bunch of their existing models in addition to the brand new Method Bookshelf speakers and matching Method Sub.

Also demoing a new Zu bookshelf speaker—that really will fit on a standard to small bookshelf. Also showing and playing our all new, music centered subwoofer, METHOD SUB.
METHOD SUB is “fast” with incredible attack, making it your best choice for breathing dynamics and life into contrabass and subcontrabass content. Like the original METHOD SUB, this new version features a lightweight paper cone fifteen inch driver, but now with even more efficiency to give even better attack and bass detail. Come listen for yourself—at the show we’ll have it on a switch.
What about this new bookshelf speaker? Well, it’s not big visually, but it is sonically. It brings a healthy amount of Zu realism and dynamics to otherwise cramped spaces: desktops, bookshelves, commercial spaces where space and sound are both premium…. And being coaxial and having a nice wide uniform spray, they are perfect for center and effects. Yep, they will be in heavy rotation at the show and we’re looking forward to knowing what you think. If you think they sound half as good as we do, they will begin shipping by the end of the year.
