I’ve always been genre fluid.
Or to put a negative spin on the same sentiment, genres never made sense to me because I don’t like all ‘rock’ or all ‘jazz’ or all ”classical’ to hit the big ones so when I come across music that mixes things up I feel right at home. Relieved, even.
And so it is with A.A. Williams Solstice, her new album out just last week that mashes up a bunch of sounds into nearly an hour of heavy and light and dark.
If you dig big and bold and intimate, step into Solstice for the duration and see what it feels like to float on clouds and tossed by storms simultaneously. I find it refreshing as hell.
