Blasting open with more than hints of Machine Head lost in a sea of post-punk fury, Saya Gray’s latest EP is a ripping wild time.
To call QWERTY II restless is like calling a monsoon rain. Released on the UK’s Dirty Hit in March, it’s hard to pick a star of this show other than Gray whose vocals, straight and processed, act as disparate characters tying things together with piano, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, synths, and plenty of atmosphere creating the otherworld they inhabit.
Fresh fun funk with a pop.
