3 Favorite Music Videos of the Moment

I’ve been thinking about this post for some time, going back and forth between limiting the selections to new music or old classics, but what makes the most sense, to me, is to share videos I’m particularly excited about right now, regardless of vintage. Enjoy!

My most recent Unboxing Video for Patrons features Milford Graves, and I share a story about one personal encounter and healing. This video from 1973 captures some of the raw energy and power Milford shared through his playing. Fasten your seat belts.

Aldous Harding’s new album, Warm Chris, is coming March 25 on 4AD and I can hardly contain my excitement. In the mean time, we get a tasty treat with “Fever”, a video that shows some of her many faces (and voices). I had the pleasure of seeing her live in 2019 in Chicago, the show coinciding with Axpona, and she’s even more intoxicating in person.

FKA Twigs recently received BandLab NME’s Godlike Genius Award for 2022 and this live performance from the show goes some distance in explaining why. I had the pleasure of seeing FKA Twigs live in Brooklyn for her Magdalene tour, a feast for the eyes and ears and imagination.
