YG Acoustics Gets Active With Vantage Live System

The new Vantage Live from YG Acoustics places amplification and D/A conversion inside the speakers for an all-in-one active system.

Why go all-in-one + controller? In a word it’s this:

Versus this:

The connections from Controller to Speakers are easily hidden fiber optic cables so no fat snakes mucking up the decor.

The Vantage Live are based on YG’s passive 3-way Vantage speakers while Cambridge Acoustic Sciences and Bel Canto Design pitched in their know-how for the Vantage Live’s advanced DSP crossover and bespoke amplification and controller respectively. Each driver is fed with 700 Watts of output power, while the streaming DAC supports Roon, Tidal, and Qobuz. Just add an Ethernet connection and you’re off to the races. Vinyl fans will be pleased to learn that the outboard Controller also includes an MM/MC phono stage.

The Vantage Live System comes in three finish types — anodization, ChromALure, and high gloss paint — and retails for $49,800 in the standard Anodized finishes.
