The new Thorens TD 403 DD turntable comes outfitted with the company’s TP 150 Tonearm and an Ortofon 2M Blue Cartridge for plug in-and-spin convenience.
Sitting between the TD 402 DD and TD 1500 DD ‘tables, the new TD 403 shares traits from both. Borrowing the direct drive from the TD 402, the TD 403 adds some weight with a 1.4 kg 22mm-thick Die-cast aluminum platter that can be found on bigger brother TD 1500.
The TD 403 does away with the 402’s built-in phono preamp and auto start / stop features. A manual “purist audiophile” approach according to the literature.
The TD 430 comes in high gloss black and high gloss walnut, offering single-ended RCA output, and places the power supply outside the ‘table.
