The New Marantz Model 30 Integrated Amplifier

Speaking of sexy, the new Marantz Model 30 Integrated Amplifier ($2499) has some serious swirl.

I think we all know by now I’m a lover of the integrated amplifier, especially one that someone has taken some care over how it looks.

Marantz. Just say the name and any number of classic hifi components come to mind, all with “Model” names followed by numbers — 7, 8, and so on.

The new Marantz Model 30 Integrated Amplifier offers four analog inputs as well as MM and MC phono inputs, with the MC side offering three input impedance options; MC Low (33 ohm), MC Mid (100 ohm), and MC High (390 ohm). Its 100wpc into 8ohms (which doubles down into 4 ohms) of Class-D power comes courtesy of Hypex (NC500), Bruno Putzeys strikes again, but Marantz has included many “customized components” for sound performance: Extensive, loving tuning has long been the secret of fine-sounding Marantz amplifiers.
