I believe it was Siddhartha who first strove for all-in-one-ness.
The all-in-one Atoll SDA300 Signature integrated amp pumps out 150 Watts into 8 Ohms from its MOS-FET double push-pull power stage while also housing a DAC and Streamer making it the center of a potentially super simple hifi—Ethernet in, speakers out. It can also be more.
With 2 line level RCA inputs, 4 digital inputs (2x Toslink, 2x Coax), 2 digital outputs (Coax, Toslink), Bluetooth, WiFi, UPnP/DLNA compatibility, a Pre Out, and two USB-A inputs (front and back) for attaching USB storage, the SDA300 Signature is feature rich and ready to roll. There’s also an included remote as well as a free Atoll app for Android and iOS devices that provides access to Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, and HighResAudio. Plus, the SDA300 comes Roon Ready and supports Tidal Connect.
A nice 5″ TFT LED color display (800*480) is centered up front on the 8mm brushed aluminum front panel along with two control knobs that sit on either side and allow for menu navigation/input selection (left knob) and volume control (right knob). Far left sits a 1/4″ headphone jack for personal listening.
Atoll is located in Brécey, France which is up north in Normandy near Mont Saint-Michel. The company was founded in 1997 by Stephane and Emmanuel Dubreuil and their lineup currently consists of 41 products. I’ve heard, through the grapevine, that the Atoll SDA300 is capable of making sweet, sweet music. We shall see.
