The new Focal Diva Utopia is an active 3-way speaker powered by a total of 400 Watts of Naim Class AB power, reaching down to 30Hz according to Focal.
The primary speaker houses the inputs that include Ethernet, HDMI eARC, Toslink/Optical, RCA, and USB for attaching stored media. There’s also an RJ45 ‘Speaker Link’ to wire the pair together for 24-bit/192kHz resolution or go wireless for a 24-bit/96kHz max. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and UPnP while the free Focal & Naim app for iOS and Android offers access to Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify, and more but alas no Roon.

A Unique Design
In designing DIVA UTOPIA, Focal has created a musically and visually sensational loudspeaker to deliver total listening pleasure. Nothing has been left to chance in its conception. The loudspeaker has a unique, refined design. The bass speaker drivers are placed subtly on the sides, and the floating side panels sit behind a signature divide that features a backlit logo. The final aesthetic is ethereal, powerful, and sophisticated. Utopia design codes can be found at the heart of this loudspeaker, such as the red and black double grille on the tweeter as well as a brushed aluminum ‘ribbon’ encircling it to represent a symbolic Yin & Yang, evoking harmony between expertise and technology. As a whole, the model resembles a ‘signature watch’. The distinct design extends to the felt material chosen for the side panels, an elegant material with minimal environmental impact.
