Dynaudio to Shut Down North American Operations

In a shocking development, Dynaudio has announced their decision to “cease operations of its commercial activities in North America and permanently shut down its U.S. subsidiary in the fall of 2026.”

The press release explains, “Dynaudio has made the decision to focus its future market development efforts on Europe and Asia as part of its long-term business strategy.”

Perhaps shocked is an understatement and it’s going to take time to fully digest this unfortunate news. Unfortunate because Dynaudio has been a staple in the US audio market for decades with many classic designs both old and new. The recent Contour Legacy Limited Edition Loudspeakers (review) are a high mark in my opinion marrying stunning design and sound quality built upon the company’s near 50-year storied history.

Working with Dynaudio has always been the epitome of professionalism and I’d like to wish the entire Dynaudio North America team success in their future endeavors.

Dynaudio Refocuses Global Market Activities

Skanderborg, Denmark – July 7th, 2026

Dynaudio has made the decision to focus its future market development efforts on Europe and Asia as part of its long-term business strategy.

As a result, the company is announcing that it will cease operations of its commercial activities in North America and permanently shut down its U.S. subsidiary in the fall of 2026.

While the company has achieved sales growth in North America in recent years, ongoing economic challenges and market uncertainty have led Dynaudio to prioritize investments and resources in markets that offer the strongest strategic opportunities for future development.

Dynaudio is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for customers and business partners. A dedicated plan to maintain continuity of product support and customer service in the region will be implemented and communicated shortly.

The company sincerely thanks its North American customers, partners and employees for their support and contribution over the years.
