Eye-catching and fetching?
Up top we have the new B&O Phantom and directly above the Mirage Edition of their Beolab 90 speakers. These new limited edition versions are offered in just 10 pairs in each finish and while their price was not included in the press release, it’s definitely a “if you to ask” kinda number seeing as the standard version come in at $211,800/pair.
For my tastes, the standard Beolab 90 is pretty fine with its Scandinavian aluminum and oak with black sock finish. Hiding inside the Beolab 90 are 8,200 total watts of ICE and class D Heliox power to drive its 18 drivers per speaker. While B&O gets less love than the brand used to in hifi circles, I remain a fan from a design perspective having never had an opportunity to listen.
I also prefer the new limited editions with their respective hats on which remind me of frozen Martha Graham dancers.
