Somethings familiar, something new!
In yet another lovely sounding room from Mark Sossa’s Well Pleased AV, the well loved and well reviewed QLN Reference 9 loudspeakers were powered by Vinnie Rossi’s Brama Integrated Amplifier receiving the analog output from Merason’s new flagship Mountain DAC.
As you might recall if you read those reviews, the QLN speakers and Brama integrated are masters of the musically moving and sonically engaging when it comes to making music and this system followed in that good form. “Under” from o was positively moving and deeply grooving, especially on Day 3 of Axpona 2025 when that new Merason Mountin DAC had time to settle into Schaumberg. While I don’t have any details on the Mountain DAC, based on my time with the Merason DAC1 Mk II, I’m interested in hearing more.
