Axpona 2022: Luxman Made Magico Dance

Oh Luxman, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

Was that too much? Regular readers know of my Lustman love for the products from Luxman, a company founded in Japan in 1925 (that’s not a typo). I find their designs cool, clean and rather elegant and I happen to care about how hifi looks.

The new Luxman M-10X Mono / Stereo Power Amplifiers ($19,995/each), which offer 600 Watts of Class A/B output power into 8 Ohms when run in mono, pushed around a pair of Magico M6 Louspeakers ($185,000/pair) to a degree of welcome liveliness. Also in use was the new Luxman D-10X SACD Player ($19,995), the new Luxman PD-151 MKII Reference Belt Drive Turntable (TBA) mounted with their Moving Coil Cartridge ($2695), the E-250 Phono Equalizer Amplifier ($9495), C-900u Control Preamplifier ($15,995), while a Melco N1Z/2EX-H50 Music Server (5499) served the bits. And as that cool signage in the back says, all cables were from AudioQuest.
