I received an email from Fern & Roby’s Christopher Hildebrand that was short and sweet, “Here is our newest product that we will be showcasing in Chicago.”
With a photo of said newest product (above).
“Yowza! Can I share this in a pre-Axpona post? Can you provide any details?”
Here are those details:
It is our new turntable featuring a Technics SP10r motor and a 12” SME M2-12 tonearm, but we can mount just about any arm to this platform and make a two arm unit as well.
The base is made with a thick 1-1/2” solid walnut apron (wood can be customized), and a deck made from 1-1/2” thick Richlite. The plinth has leveling feet that are accessible from above that will rest on our 3” Isolation feet. The tonearm’s armboard is mounted to isolation dampers as well to improve the noise floor. We selected the SME tonearm to leverage a classic arm with a classic direct drive product we love.
Price: $22,500 including the SP10r and the SME tonearm (price may change due to tariffs)
You can bet I’ll take some more pics of this interesting and lovely looking beast in a few days at Axpona 2025 where Fern & Roby exhibiting in Room 854. Stay tuned!
