The Wattson Audio Madison Power S was designed to the perfect power companion for the Wattson Madison Streamer.
Would I like to give one a try? That was the question from my contact at Wattson and you’re looking at my answer along with the Madison Streamer and Madison Amp (just for fun).
As you may recall, I reviewed the Madison stack back in July of last year and was, and remain, mightily impressed:
The Wattson products, most notably with the Madison Amp, now come with CH Precision engineering built in and when all is said and done and listened to, the Madison stack is at the ready to form an essential foundation for a simple, very well-engineered, very nicely built and deeply engaging hifi.
The Madison Streamer that’s in for review along with the Power S is the current version of what used to be called the Madison LE.

The Madison Power S employs a hybrid power design that merges the efficiency of switching regulation with the finesse of linear control. This combination achieves exceptional electrical performance while minimizing heat and energy loss. Its milled aluminum chassis provides both mechanical stability and electromagnetic isolation, ensuring the internal circuits operate in an electrically silent environment.
At the input stage, a precision power line filter suppresses unwanted noise and high-frequency interference before it reaches the switched-mode section. The converted DC is then refined through a combination of passive and active filters, supported by substantial energy storage to maintain voltage stability under dynamic load conditions. The result is a foundation of exceptional purity and responsiveness—allowing the Madison Streamers to perform at their full musical potential.
Some people, you know who you are, don’t believe in things like unwanted noise and high-frequency interference as issues to contend with in digital audio because of 1s and 0s which is like not believing in climate change because it can be hot and cold and wet and dry outside.
The include cable connects one Madison to the other. Simple. The only thing left to do is listen.
