Axpona 2023: Just Days Away & Some Gear Premiers

200+ listening rooms. 500+ brands. 3 days. Even with the new math, this does not compute.

To fully cover a show like Axpona, the largest consumer hifi show in North America, you’d need a troupe of hard-working scribes working tirelessly from dawn to the wee hours for a week. Yea, darn near impossible so I’ve taken to relaxing into the largeness of it and seeing where the tide takes me. If you’re planning to attend, say Hi!

Visit the Axpona Website for the full scoop.

Here are a few Axpona 2023 gear premiers to tickle your fancy:

Luxman will be premiering the new flagship PD-191A turntable and LTA-710 Toneram ($12,495) (yum).

Upscale Distribution and Tannoy will be introducing the world to a new speaker, “We can only say that it’s a passive loudspeaker that’s true to Tannoy tradition.” Color me intrigued!

SOtM will be showcasing its first foray into Phono-ville with the sPQ-100 Phono Equalizer ($600).

Ferrum‘s WANDLA DAC ($2795 more info) will make its North American debut in the VANA Ltd room.

Gryphon Audio Designs will be showing their EOS 2 Loudspeakers ($20,800/pair) among other wares, something I’m looking forward to hearing…

YG Acoustics‘ new powered subwoofer from the Peaks series, the Descent ($7800), will be subwoofing away.

Axiss Distribution will have the coolly lovely Yukiseimitsu Audio AP-01 Turntable on display.

Zesto Audio‘s Class A Eros 500 Select Monoblocks ($35,000) will be making their World Premier.
